My work derives from family relationships and the myths we create about ourselves while trying to preserve a particular history. I use a combination of photography and objects created from everyday materials, integrating these sculptures and images with old family notes and correspondence. These artifacts act as a catalyst for a fantastical exploration of the memory and psychology of the American family. Through humor and tragedy I create a new way of re-evaluating life, death, and the myth of family history.
(I also really love the price is right)
